WNB: In your own words, define the word "tragedy" and give examples. Why are movies, books, the news, etc. so concerned with tragedies? How are they used as a form of entertainment in our society?
Students read and filled in an outline about Greek drama and checked their notes with their tablemates. We filled in more notes about the story of Oedipus Rex so we'll be prepared to begin reading Antigone tomorrow.
